FALL REGISTRATION OPENS JUNE 4 @ 12PM!
TOP Soccer Recreational Programs for ages 6-12 provide an engaging and fun soccer experience with a weekly skills session and houseleague game designed to learn new skills and excel in a team setting. Players are split into colour-coordinated teams based on game formats and roster sizes outlined by Ontario Soccer. (ie. 5v5, 7v7, etc). Each team will be coached by an NCCP-certified TOP Soccer coach and supported by certified parent volunteers throughout the season. Throughout the season teams may be updated to provide appropriate competition for all players.
Sessions are designed in a Game-Activity-Game (G-A-G) Model where players will rotate between 3-4 activities and small-sided games. Activities will primarily involve physical literacy, ball handling, and game-based activities to teach core skills like decision-making, spacing, attacking, defending, etc. To review a helpful video on the benefits of Game-Based Learning, please click here.
The goal of this program is to focus on the Four Corners of Development: Physical, Technical/Tactical, Psychological, and Social-Emotional, which allows each participant to develop skills through engaging activities and appropriate small-sided games throughout the season.

Academy Call-Up Opportunities
There may be the opportunity to be called up to play with the TOP Soccer Academy team in one of their events. If an Academy team is short players, they can look to Recreational Players at U7 or U8 ages to help fill out the roster spots, which will provide players with the opportunity to participate in a festival or exhibition game.
“Playing Up” Policy
Players will not be permitted to play up an age division unless exceptional circumstances exist. This policy is designed to prioritize the safety of all players, physical, social, and emotional development, balanced team environments and equitable competition, and the long-term success and enjoyment of each player. Before the beginning of each season, please review our Playing Up Policy found here.
