Junior Lax Program
Beginner-friendly lacrosse program for boys & girls ages 4–6
Program Overview
Junior Lax is the first step in the TOP Lacrosse Player Pathway — a high-energy, beginner-friendly program where boys and girls learn the game through movement, fundamentals, and FUN. Each session includes ~30 minutes of skill development and ~30 minutes of small-area gameplay so every child gets familiar with the equipment and playing style of lacrosse.
Coaches focus on athletic literacy (agility, balance, coordination), lacrosse fundamentals (cradling, passing, catching, shooting), and game sense (spacing, teamwork, decision-making). The pace is upbeat and designed to build confidence while keeping kids moving from start to finish.

What Equipment Do I Need?
For Junior Lax, players only need a hockey helmet with cage, hockey gloves, and a stick. Pads are optional — use them if your child is more comfortable.
Call-Up Opportunities
Players excelling may be invited to support a Sixes League team if a roster is short — a great chance to experience game play.
Playing Up Policy
Players generally compete in their age group. Playing up is rare and only approved in exceptional cases for safety, balanced teams, and long-term development.
